Yorkshire Pudding
Heat oven to 425°

Add to a square baking dish or muffin tins and then and place into hot oven:

 1 - 2 Tablespoons of the beef drippings, or oil (divided as necessary for muffin tins)


========MEASURING BY VOLUME=========

Using three clear glasses.
  • In to the first glass place the 2 raw eggs.
  • Fill the next glass with enough milk to match the volume of two raw eggs.
  • In the third glass spoon in white flour until it reaches the same level as the milk and eggs (don't shake it or tamp it down, just get it close).
  • Add 1/4 teaspoon salt

    Mix together and let the batter sit while the baking dish or tins get very hot.

    Pour batter into the sizzling hot pan and bake 30 minutes.

    Serve piping hot from the baking pan.

    Serves six - or one very hungry Thomas!

    Note: Use muffin tins.
      Divide the fat and put 1/6th into each muffin tin.
      Divide the batter likewise.
