In a medium hot skillet, brown and chop into small pieces:
1 pound Jimmy Dean Sausage
(flavor of your choice)
Remove browned sausage leaving the grease in the skillet.
Add to the sausage fat:
butter,
(enough to make 1 Cup of fat)
Add and stir until golden brown:
1-1/2 cups white flour
Remove from heat.
Slowly add and stir completely
8 Cups milk
1 Tablespoon white sugar
Salt and pepper to taste.
Return to the burner, stir constantly until the gravy thickena, but not too much
because it tends to thicken on it's on once removed from the heat.
Biscuit Recipe
[Note: I buy the biscuits from Kentucky Friend Chicken.]
Preheat oven to 450°
In large mixing bowl, combine and mix well.
2 cups flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
Cut together:
6 tbsp. butter
Add and quickly mix together with your hands:
1 cup milk
Knead dough about 10-15 times by hand, and form a ball.
Remove to lightly floured surface and roll out until 1/2 inch thick.
Cut out biscuits with small drinking glass making about 8-10 biscuits.
Place about an inch apart on un-greased baking sheet, and bake for 10-12 min.
