Yummy Baked French Toast with Apples

Set oven at 350o

Combine:

      1 Cup brown sugar
      1/2 Cup melted butter
      1-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

Add and toss to coat:

      3 tart apples peeled,
           cored and thinly sliced
      1/2 Cup dried cranberries or raisins

Spread mixture into a 9" x 13" baking pan.

Cut and place on top of apple mixture:

      1 loaf French bread cut into 1" slices

Mix and pour over bread:

      6 eggs
      1/2 Cup milk
      1 teaspoon vanilla
      1-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

Cover. Bake coverd for 40 minutes. Uncover and bake 5 more minutes. Remove and let stand for another 5 minutes before serving.

Note:
This can be made the night before baking. Make sure it is covered and refrigerated.
